Range:

  • DN 150 - 1400
  • PN 10 - 16 - 25

The EUROSTOP safety butterfly valves are used to protect

the hydropower plants, irrigation networks and water supply
system, preventing flooding and damages in the event of an
accidental rupture of the pipeline.
Thanks to the overspeed detector, which detecs the increasing
of the velocity inside the pipeline, the EUROTOP safety
butterfly valve closes automatically isolating the fluid flow.
The EUROSTOP safety butterfly valves is also used before the
turbines equipment to protet the turbine in the event of fluid
over speed.

Applications: Water Hydro Irrigation Industry

Available versions

 • Butterfly valve with oleo-dynamic actuator and counterweights.
 • Butterfly valve with oleo-dynamic actuator and counterweights, paddle overspeed detector with manual rearm and manual pump.
 • Butterfly valve with oleo-dynamic actuator and counterweights, paddle overspeed detector with automatic rearm and oleo-dynamic
 • Central unit together with electric pump and electric control panel.

Features

• Design and performance in accordance with EN1074-1 and 2
• Spacing between flanges series 14 according to ISO 5752
• Flange connections in accordance with EN 1092-2 and ISO 7005-2
• Marking according to EN 19
• Hydraulic test according to EN 12266 and in compliance with the requirements of EN 1074-1 and 2
• Certification of compliance with DVGW, KIWA and ACS directives
• Hydraulic actuator is laterally flanged on the butterfly valve composed by:

      • Hydraulic cylinder, made in according to ISO 6020-2, to maintain the main valve in open position
      • Actuator mounted on the body of the valve with counterweight sized to allow automatic closing of
the valve under the heaviest condition.
      • OPEN CLOSE inductive proximity switches

MECHANICAL OVER SPEED DETECTOR

Stainless steel mechanical over speed detector with pipe pre arranged for welding
to the pipeline upstream from the valve, containing the tripping paddle made of stainless steel,
with its top hinged to a shaft in stainless steel and bushes in bronze. On the upper side of the stub pipe a “hammer” device with mechanical locker operates the hydraulic circuit valve.

An adjustable counterweight (0.5 - 3 m/s; 3 – 5m/s) on the far end of this shaft allows regulation of the operating rate.

Materials

 • Body and disc: 500-7 spheroidal cast iron
 • Gasket: EPDM
 • Ring nut: SR235JR carbon steel
 • Rear and front shaft: EN 10088 X30Cr13 (420) stainless steel
 • Bushing: EN 10088 X30Cr13 (420) stainless steel
 • Seal seat: Stainless steel EN 10088-2 X2CrNiMo 17,12,2 (316L)
 • Plate, lever and counterweight: Steel Fe 360B

Corrosion Protection

 • Epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 microns in compliance with EN 14901
 • Upon request, it is possible to provide a reinforced epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 300 microns in compliance with EN 14901
